Jon is the CEO of W.E. Walker-Lakenan Insurance and is a member of the Sunstar Insurance Group Executive Committee. He is a 2004 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication – Public Relations and Sales. After graduating Southeast Missouri State University, Jon immediately joined W.E. Walker-Lakenan as a sales executive and he specializes in commercial customers, understanding their specific risks and exposures. In 2024 Jon was appointed to the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents Board of Directors and serves as chairman of the education committee for the MAIA. Jon holds two designations, Associate in Insurance Production (AIP) and a Certified Workers Compensation Advisor (CWCA). The Missouri Association of Insurance Agents named Jon the Young Agent of The Year in 2013. Jon joined Sunstar Insurance Group in July of 2015 with Sunstar’s acquisition of W.E. Walker-Lakenan. In 2020, Jon became CEO of W.E. Walker-Lakenan. Jon has two wonderful children that he loves dearly, and they reside in Cape Girardeau, MO.
